Nicki Minaj was in the news for her provocative video Stupid Hoe, which was announced a couple of weeks ago. It shall officially be released before the 14th of February and features Nicki in pastel makeup and pink hair.

Talking about pink hair, she sports a brighter shade of pink on the cover of Wonderland’s February – March issue. The mag would hit the newsstands this week in Britain. In an exclusive interview to the magazine, the pop star reveals how she handles her alter-egos and how she withdraws to her introspective-self once she is offstage. However, Nicki’s onstage persona is that of raucous color-obsessed diva who doesn’t think much before playing with various hues.

Nicki is not the first one though, to experiment with pink hair color. Gwen Stefani colored her hair pink in the video Ex-girlfriend, the first single from the album Return of Saturn. Pink, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and even Lady Gaga have also experimented with pink colored hairstyles in the past.

Lady Gaga is on yet another fashion magazine cover. This time, one for Harper’s Bazaar May 2011. On the cover the singer sports strawberry blonde locks and her infamous cheekbone points, which I assumed where prosthetics, not implants… but are they?

“Well, first of all,” she says, “they’re not prosthetics. They’re my bones.”

“They’ve always been inside of me, but I have been waiting for the right time to reveal to the universe who I truly am.”

“They come out when I’m inspired.”

“I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification.”

In the interview with Derek Blasberg, Gaga also makes some colorful statements about moving to L.A. from NYC.

“I had all these number-one records, and I had sold all these albums, and it was sort of this turning point: Am I going to try and embrace Hollywood and assimilate to that culture?” Suffice to say, it didn’t work out. “I put my toe in that water, and it was a Kegel-exercise vaginal reaction where I clenched and had to retract immediately… I ran furiously back to New York, to my old apartment, and I hung out with my friends, and I went to the same bars.”

Completely left field, but would we expect anything less from the entertainer, who’s provocative persona is every bit as important to her success as her music? Seems her analogy would have been better formed with a different nether-regioned orifice, but the image wouldn’t have been as sexy, now would it?

Lady Gaga made two debuts in Paris today: herself as a runway model and her new song “Government Hooker” from her new album Born This Way. The fashion show that contain all of this gaga madness was itself another debut – that of the pop star’s stylist’s Nicola Formachetti as creative director of Thierry Mugler. You gotta hand it to her – the girl can walk! Many of those pros where having trouble with the sky-high platform heels, but Gaga really worked it.

Once again, Lady Gaga delivers (literally) riveting visuals with her “Born This Way” music video. The story concept is also intriguing and adds to my belief that this chick has some really interesting things to say about life and the way we all live it. HOWEVER, I’ve yet to be riveting, intrigued, or interested in her music. It’s not bad music, mind you, and I think Lady Gaga is a talented singer. I’ve just never felt motivated to purchase her music or even seek it out on YouTube. I’m starting to think of her more as a performance artist than a musician. That’s not such a bad thing, really. It just isn’t what get’s this beat stylist excited.

It’s a rare occurence for me to get this excited over a magazine cover. Lady Gaga covers the March 2011 issue of US Vogue and not only does she look amazing – in Haider Ackermann, bleach brows and a perfectly cropped pink wig – the cover colors and print are absolutely perfectly. Blown away and for the first time in I can’t remember how long I might even party with a bit of my spare change to buy a copy!
